Duties:
Seeking full-time board certified (preferred) Internist or Family Practi! ce physician for Chief, Ambulatory Care. The incumbent will perform duties in Administration as well as Primary Care. S/he serves as a primary care physician providing a full range of services to veterans, participation in the provision of telemedicine care to outlying communities, supervising clinics, and seeing patients in an outpatient setting as well as occasional travel to other VA clinics within Montana to provide clinical coverage.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light lifting (under 15 lbs), light carrying (under 15 lbs), use of fingers, walking 4-8 hours, standing 4-8 hours, near vision correctable at 13Â" to 16Â" to Jaeger 1 to 4, far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and 20/40 in the other, hearing (aid permitted), emotional stability, mental stability, working closely with others, working alone, and working with biohazardous materials.

POSITION: Physician, Chief of Ambulatory Care Western Montana, VM-0602. One full time permanent position located in Ambulatory Care, Missoula or Kalispell, MT at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). Hours of work: Monday through Friday.
Qualifications & Evaluations
In order to qualify for this position you must meet the following:
Basic Requirements :
Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Col! umbia.
VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard:
a. Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. (Noncitizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3g, this part.)
b. Education. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:
(1) Schools of medicine holding regular institutional membership in the Association of American Medical Colleges for the year in which the degree was granted.
(2) Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted.
(3) Schools (including foreign schools) accepted by the licensing ! body of a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico), or in ! the District of Columbia as qualifying for full or unrestricted licensure.
c. Licensure and Registration. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. The physician must maintain current registration in the State of licensure if this is a requirement for continuing active, current licensure. The facility Director may waive this licensure requirement if the physician is to serve in a country other than the United States and the physician has licensure in that country.
