The Retail Merchandiser role is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining the visual merchandising presentations inside all Universal Studios Hollywood and owned-operated CityWalk retail locations.
- Ownership of visual merchandise planning, product allocation, product execution, and maintenance of in-store presentations that drive revenue and per-cap results while minimizing shrink.
- Partners with the Visual Merchandise department, UPE buyers, and USH planners for in-store product presentations and effectively identifies and communicates product opportunities to stakeholders.
- Creates store bubble maps, planograms, and sku-to-fixture spreadsheets to determine proper merchandisable space and product allocation.
- Leads the execution of store sets, moves, consolidations, events, closures and product placement for each location of responsibility.
- Works cross-functionally with other departments as needed,
- Executes and maintains the Visual Merchandising standards book and coaches the store management on presentation standards. Conducts VM audits.
- Responsible for the USH in-store signage program including the communication of new/updated pricing, printing, and placement.
- Leads weekly park walks to discover and address business and visual merchandising opportunities.
- Ensures repair and maintenance of the retail environments, including but not limited to visual displays, visual uppers, props, retail fixtures, table presentations, window displays, and store standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of visual merchandising; or equivalent combination of education and retail experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment through ambiguity.
- Physically able to stock product, pick up hardware and boxes, move fixtures, stand for long periods, read/follow directions
- Ability to work overtime, and/or: weekends, overnights with short notice
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software; Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus.

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
