Working within the Human Resources department of UNEX and under the direct supervision of the Talent Acquisition Specialist, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will help bring excellent talent to the organization and maintain a seamless candidate/hiring experience by performing operational tasks and projects in the areas of talent acquisition, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.

The coordinator will perform full lifecycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and recommending a qualified talent pool for operational, technical, and entry-level professional staff open recruitments. In addition, they will perform talent acquisition activities relating to the recruitment of UNEX instructors (academic personnel). Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Specialist, they will act as a consultant and partner to hiring managers to ensure compliance of policies and processes while supporting progression of recruitments. Working with and under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition Specialist, they will assist in job description creation, job reclassification cases, and conduct routine job description updates. Alongside the HR Assistant, they will perform critical hiring and onboarding tasks for all staff new hires. Lastly, they will take the lead and coordinate special projects relating to document management, compliance, and employer brand & candidate experience enhancements.
This position is a 1-year contract appointment position.

1. Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, and/or human resources (HR).

2. BA/BS in related area preferred and/or equivalent experience/training.

3. Working knowledge of recruitment, screening, and interviewing processes and willing to stay abreast to new/emerging best practices.
