Senior Manager, Olefin Trading(002323)


 

Main Tasks:
  • Olefin Sales
  • Products – Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene
  • Develop strategy for Ethylene, Butadiene contract & spot sales in Asia and negotiation with direct customers in Asia, leverage on arbitrage opportunities from the market volatility, thereby maximizing profit for BASF group.
  • Provide support on logistics contract negotiation with shipping companies and with Ethylene terminal in USGC. Find innovative ways to optimize & negotiate multiple discharge with multiple customers (complex and challenging).
  • Work together in a global team.
  • Delegated Procurement
  • Products: EO, Propylene, C4 hydrocarbons (IsoButene, Raffinate-2).
  • Managing Procurement Spend in Asia for the assigned products.
  • Provide reliable and cost competitive supply to BASF across Asia Pacific for the assigned raw materials by
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with key local/regional suppliers
  • Achieve optimum conditions and supply security, in accordance with BU/site requirements and company policies and procedures, applicable laws.
  • Maintain outline agreement (OA) per category that Procurement Service Platform (PSP) team can use it as a basis to convert PR to PO. Maintain SAP approvals and approval matrix.

  • Mega project – Develop olefins business plan, customer base, and marketing structure for project ZVSP

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of Chemical industry experience with a major Multinational Company
  • Sound knowledge of the (Petro)-Chemical industry
  • Commercial Experience in cracker products & Long-term contracting skills
