Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Conduct a thorough review of the current department process for creation, maintenance, distribution, and enforcement of policies and procedures. Makes ‘best practice’ recommendations to establish new/updated processes to ensure all policies and procedures are communicated to the appropriate parties. Create policies and procedures enforcement practice.
2. Complete an assessment of the existing structure and a talent evaluation to determine where opportunities may exist to optimize current talent for increased operational excellence.

3. Provides expert knowledge to evaluate the development of a tailored Leadership Development Training to increase retention efforts, focus on succession planning and provide ongoing opportunities for high potential team members and existing managers/leaders.4. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years in a Vice President of C-Suite role providing organizational, operational, and business design solutions
- Experience in the Entertainment, Services, (Gaming and/or Resort) industry segments preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Has in depth experience in assessing and implementing enterprise level systems.
- Has a proven track record in development of enterprise level policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Must have knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and their applicability to Tribal organizations. Experience working for a Tribal Government a plus.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
- Must be culturally competent and effective in a multi-cultural environment.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- Six Sigma certification required
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
