Social Services Help Desk Member


 

Use your social services skills to make a difference! Hadley, a non-profit that works with people who are vision impaired and blind, is looking for a Help Desk (customer service) team member to help ensure our mission, values, and culture are communicated and upheld both externally and internally. Essential functions of the position include:

Understand the needs of our members.

Engage those seeking help from Hadley through calls, chats, and emails.

Log and document member interactions.

Ensure Hadley members have what they need to benefit from our services.

Have an in-depth knowledge of Hadley’s offerings.

Function effectively within a team:

Reflect and discuss incoming calls, chats, and emails for continuous quality improvement.

Participate in team building and training to continually enhance interaction skills.

Support and fill in as needed when team members are out.

Technical Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce,· Zoom and· Microsoft Teams

Listening skills:

Strong active listening skills via multiple media types (phone, email, and instant chat)

Ability to integrate what you’ve heard and in order to make a personal connection with those reaching out for help.

Communication skills:

Ability to clearly articulate what Hadley’s help has to offer and readily reference outside resources too.

Communicate within the Help Desk team to serve members efficiently and effectively.

Letter Writing, Email Writing, Note Taking

Ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and problem solver, have strong intrapersonal skills, and excellent planning and time management skills. College degree preferred on social services realted field required.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: Remote
