Job summary
Senior analyst manufacturing engineering is responsible for all manufacturing technology and manufacturing processes related topics within the manufacturing footprint (MF) for new and existing products of MCB and related.
Senior analyst manufacturing engineering is responsible as project manager or team member for operations related projects for the PMCC area PDC mainly new product launch, product transitions, capacity increase, productivity improvements and automatization for MCB and related products
Manages the transition of new products into our plants for the industrialization part.
Responsible for optimization of manufacturing processes and implementation of standard processes.
Job responsibilities
- Participation in the creation of business plans and the planning of new production facilities.
- Simulation/ feasibility studies and coordination of manufacturing technology and manufacturing processes within our footprint with focus on process optimization, capacity increase and automatization.
- Support the definition of the operational strategy. Provide and drive the manufacturing and technology roadmap by managing tools, machinery and test equipment for the manufacturing footprint.
- Preparation of technical specifications and request for quotation RFQ
- Educate, train and prepare the plant manufacturing engineering teams in regard to technological and process requirements.
- Support the standardized work definition in the plants as well the workplace design under the consideration of ergonomically, MESH and Lean requirements.
- Team member in NPD-projects. Manage the work packages for the industrialization, carry out the Manufacturing Strategy Assessment and define the manufacturing footprint. Track the process execution in the plants.
- Supports the plants during the startup phase of new products, supervise relocations or implementation of new technologies, machines and equipment.
- Assure together with the local manufacturing engineering team the required production improvements.
- Management or participation in standard transition projects and CAPEX projects with result accountability. Executes and reports project relevant growth and cost out targets. Responsibility and accountability for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, capex and quality commitments.
- Implementation of new and optimization of existing manufacturing or support processes.
- Operations support for APAC and Americas region related to IEC-products and definition
- of cost optimized product allocations across all regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC)
- Manages manufacturing documentation for the manufacturing footprint
Qualifications:
Technical studies (technician or bachelor) pref. industrial engineering or process engineering (electrical, mechatronic, mechanic)- 5 years’ experience in Mfg. Engineering / Project Management as plus
- MS-Office, ERP-systems (SAP), CAD, LEAN- and CI-tools knowledge, Simulation tools, Project management
- Experience in development of production environment and processes (mechanical, electrical, automation and work cell)
- Good experience with electrical components (MCB, RCD, RCBO, etc.) - technical drawings, SAP Bill of material, Routings and Costing Runs, etc.
- Fluent in written and oral English, German would be a plus
- Digitalization and automation project management experience would be a plus"
