PATH is seeking candidates with Human Resources experience to join our team as a Leave of Absence Coordinator in our Los Angeles office.
WHAT IS A LEAVE OF ABSENCE COORDINATOR
As part of the HR team, the Leave of Absence Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance in the administration of all leaves of absence, accommodation, workers' compensation for PATH & PV employees. Position Responsibilities:
- Act as the point of contact for staff with inquiries about Leave of Absences, accommodations, and workers' compensation.
- Maintain the administrative aspects of leave of absences, accommodations, and worker's compensation cases and claims.
- Maintaining and organize all leave of absences, accommodations, and workers' compensation electronic documents and files according to PATH standards.
- Maintain the LOA calendar by working with the LOA Specialist(s) to ensure timely scheduling of deadlines, good faith interactive meetings, and other related dates.
- Coordinate return-to-work with LOA Specialists, employees on leave and department supervisors.
- Maintain employee LOA files.
WHAT YOU BRING
We're looking for candidates that:
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with an HRIS system preferred (LinkHCM or Kronos experience a plus)
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Basic Math ability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work with others and collaborate across the organization to achieve goals
- Ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in analyzing facts and arriving at conclusions.
- Ability to follow oral instructions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of HR experience, preferably with emphasis in one or more of the following functions: Leave of absence, Accommodations, and/or Worker's Compensation.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:
- Have employment eligibility verification
- Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
- Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
- Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
- Tuberculosis Test
- Background Screening
- Drug Test
DRIVING
Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must:
- Have reliable transportation
- A valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
- The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage
